Brith Services Ltd carried out the mechanical installation within this new build commercial warehouse located by Gatwick airport. The facility is to house 4 simulators for training of pilots as part of the Boeing training scheme. The facility has offices, training classrooms, WC’s and small canteen located over two floors.
The building is heated and cooled via VRF (variable refrigerant flow) systems, chilled system, and small boiler plant and has AHU’s (air handling units) to circulate fresh air and extract stale air throughout.
There are two large chiller units located on the roof that were installed via a contract crane lift, these serve the two AHU’s within the simulator hall as well as the simulators. The chilled water is circulated via the pump room which also serve the two AHU’s located in the simulator hall to supply comfort cooling and heating, additional heating is generated by a boiler plant room also located in the simulator hall.

The project was handed over in good time and Boeing UK are very pleased with the installation and service Brith Services provided, which has resulted in seasonal commissioning and maintenance being carried out as an extra contract placed direct with Boeing UK.
