Brith Services Ltd carried out the mechanical and electrical installation for the new general teaching block in two phases.
Phase 1 consisted of a large, new boiler plant room located on the roof with a large boosted water tank room and calorifier located at ground level, as well as AHU’s, VRF systems and heating provided by zone operated radiators and underfloor heating. Electrically there was the complete wiring of all electrical supply, lighting, fire, access control, data, PA sound system, actuated windows and intruder alarm.
Phase 2 consisted of a new smaller calorifier room with AHU’s on the roof, VRF systems and heating also provided by zone operated radiators and underfloor heating which was a continuation of phase 1 LTHW.
The buildings facilitate new offices, meeting rooms, hall, classrooms, library, dining hall, staff changing rooms, tuck shop, toilets, a large atrium and children’s changing room with 20 infrared operated showers.
